I love this turtle! i was worried that i would mess him up but he turned out just great and i have had so many compliments on him! my kids love him too! my 9 month old plays with him all the time. i can't wait to find time to make one in another color.
I have just made my very own Sheldon. I enjoyed making him so much and it's given me much more confidence in my nascent knitting skills! Pics are on my blog (http://flissy666.wordpress.com/2007/05/07/sheldon-the-turtle/). THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Ruth, I had so much fun knitting Sheldon! He is too cute! I've started on a second one already. You can see mine here: http://beckybooblogs.blogspot.com/2007/07/sheldon.html

Thanks for this information, Bogie. I added a new post about eyes with a link to your blog.
I absolutely LOVE turtles. Is there any way that this pattern could be converted to crochet or even be made on the knifty knitter looms?
I would love to make him!!!
Thanks for your comment, T! If the pattern can be crocheted, someone else will have to do the conversion. I don't really know how to crochet. Sorry!
Best,
Ruth
