There are more photos of Sheldon and an alternative to safety eyes in this blog post.http://knitflix.blogspot.com/2007/01/eye-eye-sheldon.html
Thanks for this information, Bogie. I added a new post about eyes with a link to your blog.
I absolutely LOVE turtles. Is there any way that this pattern could be converted to crochet or even be made on the knifty knitter looms?I would love to make him!!!
Thanks for your comment, T! If the pattern can be crocheted, someone else will have to do the conversion. I don't really know how to crochet. Sorry!Best,Ruth
I love this turtle! i was worried that i would mess him up but he turned out just great and i have had so many compliments on him! my kids love him too! my 9 month old plays with him all the time. i can't wait to find time to make one in another color.
I have just made my very own Sheldon. I enjoyed making him so much and it's given me much more confidence in my nascent knitting skills! Pics are on my blog (http://flissy666.wordpress.com/2007/05/07/sheldon-the-turtle/). THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Ruth, I had so much fun knitting Sheldon! He is too cute! I've started on a second one already. You can see mine here: http://beckybooblogs.blogspot.com/2007/07/sheldon.htmlHe is far from perfect, but very loved.
